Mumbai is home to more than 20 million citizens. It is indeed a “City of Dreams” but in pursuit of our dreams we have, somewhere along the way, forgotten about our beautiful city’s landscape. Due to deforestation and the rise in industrial structures, the ecological balance has been disrupted to a great degree. Therefore, we have endeavored to increase our beloved city’s greenscape by planting 30,000 trees in the locality of Navi Mumbai.
Why is it important?
We are offering citizens like you a chance to participate in our mission so that together we can build a better future for our loving “Aamchi Mumbai” and our future generations. Hopefully, the natural beauty and greenery that we grew up watching can also be a part of our children’s and grandchildren’s lives. But in order to achieve that we need to come together in solidarity and contribute in whatever means possible.
What it means for the environment?
Our mission of planting 30,000 trees will really shift the ecological balance in our favor. As the trees will continue to grow, it will impact our climate and surroundings in a positive way. We would appreciate contribution of any amount, no matter how small, as it will help us bridge the gap between our dream of a better landscape of Mumbai and the reality that stands as of today.
What it means for you?
As a token of our appreciation for your participation, we would call you out on our Swechha website as a proud contributor to a noble cause. We are sure that the happiness and content you would feel in helping us out, to change the current climate crisis, will know no bounds. Additionally, the joy of watching a young sapling blossom into a full-fledged tree bearing fruits and flowers, which will serve our needs, is akin to feeling like the creator.
By contributing as little as Rs. 100, you will get the ball rolling and hopefully, we can reverse the ill-effects of climate change. Below is the break-up of your contribution that will help us plant a sapling in your name and maintain it on a daily basis.
We urge you to act soon as the deadline is tentatively set on 15th August, 2017. Let’s change our present and march forward towards a better tomorrow together as a society.
